Late last year we were given the design brief to undertake a stunning bathroom renovation that would bring a tired bathroom back to life so that it seamlessly blended with the rest of this Victorian period home in Drumcondra, Geelong. I personally didn’t see the transformation until it was finished but I was wowed from the moment that I opened the door. As much as we love working with modern materials and architectural design,  there’s something special about working on a period home and restoring it to it’s former glory. Our photographer had a grand time capturing the elegant design elements that characterise this era. Read to the bottom of this post to see how you can recreate this look.

Victorian Era Bathroom Renovation

Victorian Era Bathroom Renovation20160122-PM-LBB-4120160122-PM-LBB-5220160122-PM-LBB-18

The floor tiles from this renovation were chosen by the client from Beaumont Tiles, Geelong. White subway tiles in gloss provide a neutral background to set off the floor tiles, an Oxley Tesselated Octagon and Dot in latte with carbon black dot. A black claw foot tub is the centre piece of the room and is complimented by the timber vanity with intricate carving detail, typical of the Victorian Era.
